Andreas Reuter
Application integration with emphasis on orchestration and consistency
Prof. Andreas Reuter started his career as an independent consultant for designing and implementing database applications. In 1981 he received his Ph.D. from Technical University of Darmstadt and subsequently became an Assistant Professor at Kaiserslautern University. In 1983 and 1984 he was a visiting scientist at the IBM Research Lab, San Jose, CA. From 1985 – 1997 he was a Full Professor at Stuttgart University, heading the research group "Applications of Parallel and Distributed Systems". In 1989 he founded the Institute of Parallel and Distributed High Performance Systems at Stuttgart University. From 1989 to 1991 he was Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Stuttgart University. From 1992 he served as a Vice-President of Stuttgart University. In 1997 he participated in the initiative to establish a private university in Germany with a focus on Information Technology – which eventually became the "International University in Germany" at Bruchsal.

In January 1998 he started his current appointments at the EML and at the International University in Bruchsal.
